UFC 6 Release Date: June 19, Pre-Orders Live
EA Sports UFC 6 is real. After a rumor yesterday, EA dropped the announcement overnight on Instagram. The next MMA sim hits June 19, 2026.
But here's the weird part. Pre-orders are live right now. No trailer. No gameplay. No screenshots. Just a store page and a promise.
I've played every UFC game since Undisputed 3. This launch rhythm feels rushed. Or confident? Hard to tell with EA.
Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Only (For Now)
The game is exclusive to current-gen consoles. No PS4, no Xbox One, and no PC at launch.
Rumors from yesterday suggested a PC version might come later (not at launch). That's still unconfirmed. The official EA site lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Honestly, PC players are getting screwed again. UFC 5 never made the jump. I wouldn't hold my breath.
Two Editions, Very Different Prices
Digital pre-orders are up. Here's what you get:
Standard Edition - $69.99
- Base game
- Iconic Moments Bundle (three fighter skins: Korean Zombie, Miesha Tate, Leon Edwards)
Ultimate Edition - $99.99
- Base game
- 7 days early access (starts June 12)
- Iconic Moments Bundle
- Fighter Pass: UFC Legends (8 new fighters total, 2 at launch, 6 later)
- Expansion Pass (two major expansions: winter 2026 + summer 2027)
- VIP Pass (5 fighter skins, cosmetics, emojis, boosts)
- Rivalry Bundle (2 extra skins, 500 UFC Points)
Thirty bucks more for a week early and a season pass. If you know you'll play this for a year, Ultimate makes sense. But we haven't seen a single punch yet.
Cover Athletes: Pereira and Holloway

The Standard Edition features Alex Pereira. The Ultimate Edition shows Max Holloway.
"EA listened for the cover"
- Reddit u/No_Tune7388
Reddit seems happy about that. Small win.
What EA Is Promising (Vague as Always)
From the official website:
"EA Sports UFC 6 is powered by fighters. Evolved striking and motion systems bring UFC stars to life in the Octagon, while new game modes introduce immersive storytelling that makes every fight feel personal."
Evolved striking and immersive storytelling are the key phrases. A leaker on Reddit mentioned momentum-based striking. The grappling? "Largely unchanged," according to multiple comments.
Here's what the community actually wants (pulled from the megathread):
- Rag doll KOs
- A decent career mode (not the same press conference loop)
- Bruce Buffer full introductions
- Community creations
- Pride mode
"EA have let me down for 5 games straight! But I'm ready for the pain again! It's the hope that kills you."
- Reddit u/JurgenShankly
That sums up the vibe.
New Modes: Max Holloway Showcase?

A rumor floating around (and EA's wording) suggests a Max Holloway showcase mode similar to Undisputed 3's classic fights. Special intros, challenges, re-living old wars.
Some fans also want a Universe/GM mode where you book entire cards, manage rankings, and fight in your own promoted events. EA hasn't confirmed anything specific. But the "Expansion Pass" teases "a new mode" for winter 2026.
My take: don't expect a career overhaul at launch. That'll be DLC. And that's annoying.
Cross-Play Confirmed
Yes, crossplay is in. The Xbox store description confirms it. Xbox and PlayStation players can queue together. That's a big deal for matchmaking longevity.
No Trailer, But Pre-Orders Are Live
This part bothers me. EA opened pre-orders without showing a single second of gameplay. The community noticed.
"Announcing the game by putting up pre-orders when it's less than two months out without showing anything; not a trailer nor screenshots, is crazy. It's like the reverse of a shadow drop, when even your own marketing is ashamed of what's to come."
- Reddit u/saksents
Harsh. But fair.
EA says more info is coming soon. Roster reveals, gameplay deep dives, probably a trailer (finally). With launch only seven weeks away (or six for early access), they have to move fast.
PC Players: Still Waiting
The lack of a PC version is the biggest omission. Multiple Reddit threads are furious.
"No PC. No buy. Fuck off EA."
- Reddit u/Knappster33
I get it. Modders would fix half the problems EA ignores. But EA has never treated PC as a priority for UFC. Don't expect that to change.
Bottom Line
EA Sports UFC 6 arrives June 19. Pre-orders are open. We have no idea if it's good. The short announcement-to-release window (typical for this series) could mean minor upgrades over UFC 5. Or EA is trying something new.
I'll wait for the first gameplay trailer before spending $70. You should too.
But if you're a diehard and want that week early access? Ultimate Edition is your only path. Just know you're buying blind.
Crossplay is a win. No PC is a loss. And if the grappling is still broken (lookin' at you, clinch spam), the community will riot.
June 12 for early access. June 19 for everyone else. I'll be watching from the sidelines until I see actual footage.
